Prof. WANG Qingyuan is a full Professor of Sichuan University since 2001. He was the President of Chengdu University between 2014 and 2024. He received his PhD in 1998 from Ecole Centrale Paris (University Paris-Saclay), France. He was visiting professor at University of Paris East (France), Technical University of Claustal (Germany), University of New Hampshire (USA), University of Liverpool (UK) and Kyushu University (Japan). His research activity is focused on Materials, Mechanics and Structures, Super Long Life Durability, 3D Printing, Green Buildings and Low Carbon Materials. He has published over 300 papers in SCI index journals, including Nature, Nature Commun, Prog Mater Sci, Adv Mater, Adv Func Mater, Adv Science, Acta Mater, IJ Fatigue, etc. He was named on the list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers (Elsevier) from 2014 to 2023. He served as Editor-in chief for Green Buildings and Materials, co-chief editor for Chinese Journal of Experimental Mechanics, Associate editor for JMMP, editorial member for FFEMS, IJ Fatigue, etc. He has chaired or co-chaired a number of international or national conferences, including the 6 th International Conference on Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF-6, 2014), 2021+1 Chinese Congress on Mechanics, and The 55th of Advanced Materials Congress (2023, Sweden), 22th National Conference of Fatigue&Fracture (2024, Chengdu) etc. He has received a number of awards, including the Distinguished Chinese Scholar Award from the NSF of China (2009), The Second Prize of National Natural Science Award (PI, China, 2018), The First Prize of Sci & Tech Progress (PI, The Chinese Society of Mechanics, 2021), European Advanced Materials Award of the Year 2022(International Association of Advanced Materials), Outstanding Paper Award of 2013-2023 (Materials Research Letters), Senior Career Award of 2024 ( Inter J Structural Integrity), ICCES Distinguished Fellow Award of 2024 (the International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences and the Tech Science Press) and JSPS Fellowship Award of 2024 (the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science). He is an Effective Fellow candidate of Chinese Academy of Engineering (2019), Fellow of European Academy of Sciences and Arts (2023) and Fellow of European Academy of Sciences (2024).
